Do you like pie? Do you like to eat pie? Of course you do! Pi Day is the perfect time to learn to bake apple pie. Join Snow White from YYC Princess and Fan Ambassador Teigan Blondin for a pie bake along, learn how to make pastry from scratch, pie filling and techniques for the piefect dessert.

Great for baking nerds, Princess nerds, math nerds, pie nerds and those that like to consume pie.  

In celebration of the number π (/paɪ/) a mathematical constant and "pi day". We will learn to bake apple pie and feast on the ratio of a circle circumference baked to a golden brown piefection. With a pinch of princess pixie dust added!

What you will need materials 

- Pie Pan - 9"-10" - Glass, ceramic, metal or tin (glass is recommended)

- Rolling Pin

- Pastry Cutter

- Measuring Cups

- Measuring Spoons

- Peeler

- Knife

- Metal or Glass bowls

- Sauce Pan

What you will need ingredients;

- 2 and 1/4 Cups of Flour  

- Salt

- 2 Cups of butter Unsalted 

- 8-9 Granny Smith Apples

- Apple pie spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, ginger)

- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar 

- 2-3 Tablespoons Corn Starch 

- Water and Ice Cubes 

This event is suitable for all ages although some younger participants will need help with certain steps.
