About this event

Many of the stories we love involve heroes overcoming immense challenges to make their world a better place. Many fans find camaraderie in groups inspired by these stories. Some people are inspired by the team spirit in Ghostbusters. Others by the hero’s journey seen in the Star Wars saga.

During normal times, costuming groups such as the Alberta Ghostbusters, the 501st Legion, the Rebel Legion, Saber Guild, and the Mandalorian Mercs could be found marching in parades, mingling with crowds at community events, or operating their photobooths at Calgary and Edmonton Expos raising money for charities. However, in recent months, with large events on hold, these groups have had to find other methods to bring smiles to kids and keep support going for worthy causes.

Join this online panel, where we'll meet leaders of fan groups and discuss how they contribute to making our world a better place in the past, present, and future.
