Join Lauralee as she demonstrates how to paint a miniature from the very beginning, all the way through to dry brushing and layering. In this two hour class, she will walk you through how to prime, prep and paint your new favourite mini and once painted, she will teach you the intermediate steps of how to touch up your paint job, layering and dry brushing. You will need: An unpainted mini Spray primer Paints in your favourite colors. *Don’t forget skin tone! 3 very small paintbrushes-1 about the thickness of your fingernail, 1 about 1/16” and 1 in between. Water container 2-3 paper towels Small paint handle if you have one. They’re $21 each if you don’t. Also not necessary, but VERY helpful. Can be found at your local gaming store. Paint tray depending on the style of paints you have. If they are drip caps then you’ll need the tray, if they are flip tops then you can use the lid as a form of paint tray by shaking the paint and slowly opening the lid. Do not remove the lid from the paint pot. All of these items can be purchased at your local gaming store. To save a few dollars you can get a package of tiny brushes from Michael’s for around $13 vs. $13 each at a gaming store. Do not get paints from any dollar stores. While they are acrylic, they are simply not the best quality to use for such fine details and we want our minis looking sharp and pristine.
